REPLACEMENT OF FURNACE WITH A MORE ENERGY-EFFICIENT INSTALLATION IN THE RAILWAY WHEEL FORGING PROCESS

The HOREF project focuses on the wheel forging and heat treatment process. With the installation of new machinery (two continuous-line furnaces and automated handling until the wheels exit the tempering process), this project will lead to a substantial increase in energy savings indicators by reducing current consumption of raw materials such as gas.
Project under the energy savings and efficiency aid line for SMEs and large industrial companies, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and managed by the IDAE through the National Energy Efficiency Fund, with the goal of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy.
